HOW WE USE, STORE, AND SHARE INFORMATION

 

Your data will be used and stored at our end in secure databases (which have strict passwords and other verification procedures that only we can access).

Our website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to provide information and sell services to you. They are considered here to be a 'third party' by us in the strictest sense, BUT without them we could not provide the website and so they are an integral part of it. Your data will be used and stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They only process and store the data on our behalf and not for their own benefit. This data held by Wix,com may cross borders into other countries as they are a global network, but their policy states that this is protected by stipulations they must follow as set out by the European Commission. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. If you consent to us using 'non-essential cookies' (see below) by clicking on the 'accept' button of the cookies banner when you first visit the site, then your data may also be shared with other legitimate third parties, but this is always kept to an absolute minimum and, to our knowledge, only ever in the interests of the operational functioning and analysis of the site. This is mainly in the form of apps that may aggregate and analyse data, such as how long a user has spent on a particular page, to assess interaction with the website and how we can improve it in the future (we may not always use these kind of apps).

The processing of 'essential' personal data comes under the 'legitimate interests' part of the GDPR, because it is necessary for us to collect and store this data in order for the website to perform appropriately and for us to correspond with you if you have voluntarily requested this.

We take all reasonable precautions, including the use of industrial standard software, to ensure this website is secure for our users/visitors and it is protected against potential 'hackers'. As stated, it is hosted by a legitimate and secure hosting company - Wix.com - on a secure global content delivery network (CDN). However, given the nature of cyberspace, as with any other website, we cannot guarantee the security of the use of the site or your data, and you should always ensure you have antivirus software on your device, as you should when accessing any other website on the internet.

 

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
