DATA PROTECTION & GDPR

The processing of your personal data in the use of this website abides by the general standards set out for the protection of users' data online. This includes legislation under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

DATA CONTROLLER, DATA PROCESSOR & DATA SUBJECT

Using the GDPR regulations, the data controller is Justin Soul Warrior who owns the website (referred to as 'we', 'us', 'our' in this document). The data processor is Wix.com who hosts the website. The data subject is the user/visitor of the website (referred to as 'you', 'your', or 'user/visitor' in this document).

We choose what data to collect and store, the data processor (Wix.com) only processes data on our behalf and not for their own benefit, and you have data protection rights which are set out below, as well as a responsibility to ensure you have read and understood this document and are in agreement with it (see consent section below).

CONSENT

By using this website, you hereby consent to the Privacy Policy and agree to its terms.
This only relates to the use of this website and not to any other website that may be listed on this site, in which case you should read the privacy policy for that separate website.
If you read and fully understand this Privacy Policy, and remain opposed to any of it, you must immediately leave and discontinue all use of the website.

For information on how your personal information is used if you were to proceed with booking and receiving a service from us, please see the Service Terms document.

TYPE OF INFORMATION COLLECTED
As with almost all websites across the internet, we collect certain non-personal and personal information during the course of your use of this website. There are two main types of information collected: 'voluntarily provided' and 'automatically collected'.

In the 'voluntarily provided' category, we receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us with in any other way. This will include your name, email, and phone number if, for example, you have entered these details on the Contact Form.

In the 'automatically collected' category, we collect and store certain information automatically when you use the site, mainly in the form of what is known as log files (as standard) and cookies (see below). This includes data that will recognise your device, web browser, IP address, time zone and location, the way you interact with the site and its pages (called 'session information'), including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and possibly the number of clicks on certain pages/items.
Some of this information we collect and store is considered 'essential' and does not come under privacy law - it is required for the very operation of the site, as well as security issues.
Some collection of personal information (such as the data we use to analyse user interaction with the site, or data used for helping to promote our services to you) is considered 'non-essential' and this is where you are given the opportunity to accept or decline the 'cookies banner' when you first enter the site (see more about cookies below).

WHY WE COLLECT THIS INFORMATION

We collect such non-personal and personal information for the following purposes:

-
To provide and operate the website and services at an optimum level
-
To provide our visitors and users with a smoother interactive experience
-
To be able to contact users if they have requested this, and provide ongoing customer assistance
-
To be able to contact our visitors and users with general or personalised service-related notices and promotional messages (although you can opt out of this, if or when you receive such messages, or at any other time - simply send us a message via email or the Contact Form to 'opt out')
-
To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred non-personal information, which we may analyse to provide and improve our website and services
-
To comply with any applicable laws and regulations
-
For safety and security purposes (e.g, to prevent fraudulent activity or 'hackers')

HOW WE USE, STORE, AND SHARE INFORMATION
Your data will be used and stored at our end in secure databases (which have strict passwords and other verification procedures that only we can access).

Our website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to provide information and sell services to you. They are considered here to be a 'third party' by us in the strictest sense, BUT without them we could not provide the website and so they are an integral part of it. Your data will be used and stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They only process and store the data on our behalf and not for their own benefit. This data held by Wix,com may cross borders into other countries as they are a global network, but their policy states that this is protected by stipulations they must follow as set out by the European Commission. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. For more information on Wix's own Privacy Policy go to: https://www.wix.com/about/privacy - and for their Data Processing Addendum For Users, go to: https://www.wix.com/about/privacy-dpa-users

If you consent to us using 'non-essential cookies' (see below) by clicking on the 'accept' button of the cookies banner when you first visit the site, then your data may also be shared with other legitimate third parties, but this is always kept to an absolute minimum and, to our knowledge, only ever in the interests of the operational functioning and analysis of the site. This is mainly in the form of apps that may aggregate and analyse data, such as how long a user has spent on a particular page, to assess interaction with the website and how we can improve it in the future (we may not always use these kind of apps).

All data is stored only for the purposes required and only for as long as is required (e.g. your ongoing use of the website, correspondence with you if necessary, analysing user interaction with the site).

HOW WE COMMUNICATE WITH OUR SITE VISITORS

We may contact you in response to a message you have sent us, including dealing with a booking you may have requested, as well ongoing support you may have sought from us and/or further promotional information about our services (you can opt out of this promotional activity at any time). For these purposes, we may contact you via the contact 'chat' button correspondence on the site itself, email, telephone, text messages, WhatsApp or other legitimate communication platforms.

COOKIES POLICY

What are cookies?

As with almost all websites, we use 'cookies' to collect information about you and your activity across the site. A cookie is a small piece of data - usually in the form of a text file - that this website stores on your computer or device and accesses each time you visit. Cookies will not damage your computer or device and do not contain viruses.

For more information on what cookies are and how they work go to: https://allaboutcookies.org.

Why do we use cookies?

The main reasons for using cookies include: 1) ensuring your experience of using the website is as smooth as possible; 2) helping us to understand how users interact with the site so that we can assess how well the site and overall service is performing and whether we need to make further improvements; 3) to ensure the website is being used safely and securely.

What type of cookies do we use?

Most of the cookies we use come under what is termed 'essential cookies' and these cannot be changed - i.e. they are required for the very use of the site, including for security purposes. These do not come under privacy laws.

Other types of cookies that we may use are termed 'non-essential cookies' and these cookies are the ones that may relate to things like assessing how you interact with the site, promotional activity and material we may share with you, and possibly 'third party' applications that help us in these endeavours; although these are always kept to an absolute minimum (see below). It is these type of cookies that come under privacy laws.

The data collected by cookies includes that already stated at the start of this Privacy Policy; including information about your device, IP address, web browser, time zone and location, how you interact with the site and its pages, page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and possibly the number of clicks on certain pages/items.
Consenting to or declining cookies

If you were to 'accept' or 'decline' the cookies banner when you first enter the site, then it is only the 'non-essential' cookies stated above that are consented to or declined.

We also store a consent log which is essentially a list of users interacting with the cookies banner, either agreeing or refusing the use of their data in this way. The consent log includes details such as your IP address, the device you are using, and the date and time of your consent or decision to decline. It's divided into columns, each representing a different type of data collection that you may have either enabled or disabled.

You can decline all or some cookies by using settings on your own browser, if your browser permits this. However, this is not usually recommended in most instances as it can interfere with the performance of the site and your user experience, and you may not be able to access certain parts of the site.

THIRD PARTIES AND LINKS TO OTHER SITES

As stated, your personal data may be shared with 'third parties', but this is mainly in the form of storing your data with the Wix.com platform (in their secure databases) which hosts this website and without which we would be unable to provide the site and unable to process and store your data in order to provide a fully functioning site.
For more information on Wix's own Privacy Policy go to: https://www.wix.com/about/privacy and for their Data Processing Addendum For Users, go to: https://www.wix.com/about/privacy-dpa-users

Your personal data may be shared with other legitimate third parties for the purposes of running the site and analysing site use and performance, but this is kept to an absolute minimum and your data is never knowingly shared with third parties for any other reason than for the purposes of running and analysing this site.

Our website contains links to other websites. Our Privacy Policy only applies to this website and we have no control over those other links/websites. If you click on a link to another website, you should read their separate privacy policy.

GDPR & YOUR DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS

The processing of 'essential' personal data comes under the 'legitimate interests' part of the GDPR, because it is necessary for us to collect and store this data in order for the website to perform appropriately and for us to correspond with you if you have voluntarily requested this.

It is also required for us to process your personal data if you have consented to the cookies banner allowing us to analyse your interaction with the site and its overall performance, and occasionally to contact you for promotional purposes, if we decide this is appropriate.

We would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following (we may need to charge a small fee and you will need to provide ID so we can ensure we are dealing with the right person):

-
The right to access – You have the right to request copies of your personal data
-
The right to rectification – You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request that we complete the information you believe is incomplete
-
The right to erasure – You have the right to request that we erase your personal data, under certain conditions
-
The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions
-
The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions
-
The right to data portability – You have the right to request that we transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions
If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you. If you would like to exercise any of these rights, please contact us at our email: justin@justinsoulwarrior.co.uk or use the Conact Form.

SECURITY

We take all reasonable precautions, including the use of industrial standard software, to ensure this website is secure for our users/visitors and it is protected against potential 'hackers'. As stated, it is hosted by a legitimate and secure hosting company - Wix.com - on a secure global content delivery network (CDN). However, given the nature of cyberspace, as with any other website, we cannot guarantee the security of the use of the site or your data, and you should always ensure you have antivirus software on your device, as you should when accessing any other website on the internet.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Our website is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal data from children under 18. It is not our responsibility to vet the age of those who use the site, apart from making statements such as these about the age you should be to use the site. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that we have collected, used or disclosed personal data of a child under the age of 18, please contact us using the contact information below so that we can take appropriate action.

PRIVACY POLICY UPDATES

We keep our Privacy Policy under regular review and reserve the right to modify it at any time. We place any updates on this web page. You should review it regularly if you wish to ensure you are up to date with it and that your consent is ongoing when you return to the site.

This privacy policy was last updated in July 2023.
